The Leaf Did Not Fall

Like a fool
I oppose the fundamental laws.
These aren't my rules, these
universal truths,
of space and time and distance.

As for gravity, I wonder,
when you dream
do you feel its force
or do you soar?

I stood in the woods
watching
and the leaf did not fall.

  1. That video is fascinating! Is the leaf caught on a spiderweb?

    1. No! It's magic! ;) Okay, it was a web. Unfortunately, the rest of the video was shaky so I cut out quite a bit. And apologies for the quality of video from the iphone. Still, you get a sense of the dance. So stunning it was.

    1. Thank you. That's the only part that really resonates for me right now. Maybe that's all that needs to be said? The line didn't really work without the video though, so I had to put it into some sort of context. The leaf put on quite a show. It made me wonder, and still does. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. Grace
One word so full, no heart so empty.
Suspend disbelief and fill that heart
    Give grace to inanimation, "form and movement" a soul;
Lift eyes to visual food and feel the grace i know within you.
