Freedom to Read

Freedom to Read Week in Canada starts Sunday. Yay!

Intellectual freedom and freedom of expression are protected under the Canadian Charter and enshrined in the International Declaration of Human Rights.

Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.

Does this not sound like a reason to celebrate?!

Read, write, express yourself, posthaste!
